Why should I hire an organizing service?
There are so many great benefits to hiring an organizing service! Just like hiring a lawn service or an interior decorator, we bring value to your home in a way that you might be unable or unwilling to do on your own. A professional organizer is like a personal trainer for your home!

How far do you travel?
I travel to locations within 30 driving minutes from my home. For clients beyond that, I charge half of my hourly rate for travel time beyond 30 minutes each way.
Do you take on clients that are hoarders?
I do not work with severe hoarder clients or households. I have industry contacts that I would be happy to refer you too if this is the reality of your situation. I want to ensure you are in the best hands for the level of service that is needed.
What areas of organization do you work in?
I work in all areas of organization, focusing on home space organizing. I offer unpacking services for clients moving in to a new space. I also provide small business process assessments and improvements.
How do you pay for a session and what is the price?
Cash or check must be presented at the consult, or before booking the first session. If you are purchasing a package of sessions, the total package amount must be paid in full before scheduling the first session. Prices can be found on our Services page.
Will you force me to throw everything away?
Never! I do not force any decisions on my clients. I might, however, ask some tough questions on whether or not every single item is valued and necessary. The best way to achieve the state of peace and joy that I speak of is to release the items that no longer serve a purpose or that no longer bring you joy. Only YOU can decide which items those are.
What if I feel embarrassed about my mess?
I would hope you wouldn't! I guarantee I have seen worse, and anyone who owns a home knows how fast spaces can get out of control, including myself! There is no shame no matter what state your space is in, the beauty is that you recognized there is room to improve and you have hired the right help to conquer it. We are energized by spaces that have the opportunity to better organized, so please do not worry about feeling embarrassed!
Will you be cleaning the space you organize?
Gracefully Organized is not a cleaning service, however there will be "cleansing" of your items in the sense that we will be decluttering, if you choose, and purging any items that are no longer relevant to you. There may be a need for a quick spot clean in areas we are working in, that of which I will provide.
Do I need to be present at the organizing session?
If you are interested in decluttering I do require that you be present. For organizing areas that do not require decluttering, I may work independently. I encourage my clients to be present if they are interested in long-term sustainment of the organizing progress we make together.
Will you be taking before and after pictures for your website?
Gracefully Organized may use photographs taken by Client and/or Consultant for public consumption. The identity of the Client will remain anonymous, unless the Client makes public comment(s) claiming ownership of the space in the photos. The Client may request in writing that the photos are not to be used publicly and/or should be altered to protect the identity potentially revealed in the content of the photos.
